Welcome to the European Games, a distinguished multi-sport event that represents the zenith of athletic competition and continental unity. Owned, orchestrated, and overseen by the European Olympic Committees, each sporting discipline within the Games is managed and supervised by its respective European sports Federation. With a rich history rooted in tradition, the European Games gather the top elite athletes from across Europe every four years to showcase their talents on a grand scale. Beyond mere competition, the Games serve as a celebration of diversity, inclusivity, and cultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation among nations.

Since its inception in 2015, there have been three editions of the European Games, with each iteration leaving an indelible mark on the world of sports. The upcoming edition is slated for 2027 and will be hosted in Istanbul, Turkey. At the core of this prestigious event lies a dedication to innovation and progress in the realm of sports. From state-of-the-art venues to cutting-edge facilities, each edition pushes the boundaries of athletic achievement and sets new standards for excellence. MISSION AND VISION


The Organising Committee, with the support of the EOC, European Federations, government agencies, and athletes, is united in creating the European Games – a premier celebration of sport in the world. Over a span of 12 days, Europe is inspired through sport, delivering an unforgettable experience for fans from around the globe.

From the host city to surrounding regions and beyond, Europe’s best elite athletes are welcomed. The commitment is to place the Host Country at the heart of European sport, and by spreading the Olympic values, to create a better world based on the principles of equality, non-discrimination, healthy lifestyles, and fair play. The Games are more than just a competition; they are a celebration of diversity, inclusivity, and cultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation among nations.
