The 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games held in Gangwon, South Korea, showcased the outstanding performances of European athletes, as they consistently secured top positions on the medal table. Throughout the competition, European nations consistently claimed eight out of the top ten spots, with the Italian team leading, followed by Germany and France. At the end of the Games, 6 European teams (Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Sweden, and Great Britain) proudly stood amongst the top 10 nations from across the globe.

By a large lead Italy and Germany emerged as frontrunners, taking the first and second place in the medal table respectively. 

Furthermore, an extraordinary feat was achieved by Europe’s nations as every single European NOC claimed a spot on the podium in at least one discipline, demonstrating the depth of talent across various disciplines.
