Why I am part of the EYA?
“I was a professional athlete. I won a silver medal at EYOF 2017 and I was competing at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games.”
What did I give to athletes?
“My experience, positive energy, and support during the competition but also talked with them and tried to make them relax as much as possible before race days.”
How do I describe a European Young Ambassador (EYA)??
“Someone who loves the sport, Olympic values and someone who likes to share knowledge and experience with others!”
How did I interact with athletes?
“We were spending time together after dinner, talking how the day went. Moreover, we had a Facebook page where all of them could post photos from that day. My team was not big so it was easy to be around them all day.”
What did I learn from my job as a EYA?
“It is totally different – being an athlete and ambassador during EYOF, but I was passionate both times. The things that I had gone through as an ex-athlete could really help young kids.”
What was my motto?
“Competitions are important, but every day we can meet new friends, some will stay some will go, but the experience will never leave you!”
