In 2015, Iceland hosted the GSSE for the second time in the event’s history. This 16th edition welcomed nine nations competing across ten sports, introducing golf to the sports list for the first time. The 2015 edition continued to build upon the event’s legacy, additionally emphasising sustainability by reusing existing venues and having as its slogan “Natural Power”.
