INTERVIEW

How old are you?
23.

What is your sport? Are you an amateur or professional?
Skiing, Water sports, Running – all at amateur level.

What is your biggest sports achievement?
Being a member of the Organising Committee of the Summer EYOF in Banska Bystrica in 2022, which led to becoming an EYOA as well as the Young Olympic Ambassador for Slovakia.

What languages do you speak?
English and Slovak.

What are your passions and hobbies?
I love being in nature and exploring it on its raw scale with all the animals around. I love listening to podcasts, but also books. Experiencing the ocean at the beach, while trying to surf, is also something that I like to do.

What is your secret superpower (or one you would like to have)?
Teleportation (to regain the time that I’m losing thanks to going everywhere by public transportation haha).

What is your favourite dish from your country?
Garlic soup with cheese served in a bread bowl.

Who is the most inspiring athlete for you?
Henrieta Farkašová – our eleven-time Paralympic champion in skiing.

The words I live by are… (motivational quote)
“You will be okay.”

What motivated you to apply for the EYOA programme?
After I saw the spirit of the EYOA community and the hard work of the ambassadors in Vuokatti and Banska Bystrica. I am more than sure that this is exactly the environment I want to be part of, support and work in.

What are your goals as an EYOA?
I want to represent my country, my ideas, and my passion for Olympism and I believe being an ambassador would give me the platform to do so. Teamwork is essential.

What would be your dream job in the future?
I would like to work in a sports events organisation or our NOC.

What are your expectations of being an EYOA?
I think it is a good opportunity to learn about what it takes to become a leader and promoter of the Olympic values and share them with young athletes so that they can understand the importance of excellence, respect and friendship.

What does Olympism mean to you?
It is a worldwide phenomenon that makes this planet a better place. It makes us better people who respect each other and value what we have in life.
