Andorra boys’ beach volleyball team secured the gold medal after a hard-fought match against Liechtenstein. Their outstanding teamwork and determination led them to victory in this exciting final.
Cypriot Nikandros Stylianou took home the gold medal in the pole vault event. His remarkable jump of 5.15 metres not only secured him the top spot, but also helped Cyprus claim the overall 3rd place in the competition.
Julie Meynen of Luxembourg delivered an outstanding performance in the 100m freestyle swimming race. With a remarkable time of 55.66 seconds, she clinched the gold medal.

ABOUT ICELAND 2015
In 2015, Iceland hosted the GSSE for the second time in the event’s history. This 16th edition welcomed nine nations competing across ten sports, introducing golf to the sports program for the first time. The 2015 edition continued to build upon the event’s legacy, additionally emphasising sustainability by reusing existing venues and having as its slogan “Natural Power”.
