Chiara Gronda (ITA) showcased her alpine skiing prowess by securing three medals at the festival. She earned silver in both the girl’s slalom and super-G events, and added a bronze in the giant slalom, making her one of the standout performers in her discipline.
Fabio Carta (ITA) made a triumphant return to the short track speed skating scene. After winning bronze at the 1993 EYOF, he clinched gold in both the boy’s individual event and the relay in this edition, solidifying his reputation as a top talent in the sport.
Jenny Wissting (SWE) took home a double haul in cross-country skiing, winning silver in the girl’s individual classic 7.5km event and striking gold as part of Sweden’s victorious cross-country team relay.

ABOUT ANDORRA 1995

The 1995 Winter EYOF was held in Andorra la Vella, the capital of Andorra, a small yet remarkable host nation. This event attracted participants from 40 European nations, competing in traditional winter sports like alpine skiing and figure skating. The competition helped raise Andorra’s profile in international winter sports and showcased its scenic Pyrenean landscapes. Athletes not only gained experience in competition but also in a unique cultural exchange, fostering unity and sportsmanship amongst the young participants.
