INTERVIEW
What are your passions and hobbies?
Cats, family and friends, travelling, internet memes.
What is your secret superpower (or one you would like to have)?
As a superpower, I would choose teleportation so I can visit friends and beautiful places whenever I want to. It’d come in handy, too, when I forget something I need, which happens quite a lot.
What is your favourite dish from your country?
Dumplings filled with fruits (strawberries are my all-time favourite).
Who is the most inspiring athlete for you?
Aljona Savchenko (Ukrainian-German figure skater).
The words I live by are…
Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
What motivated you to apply for the EYOA programme?
I wanted to see sport from a different perspective and I wanted to open myself up to new opportunities that would give me valuable experiences.
What are your goals as an EYOA?
Besides promoting Olympic values, I would like to spread smiles and positivity during these tough times. I think that a happy mind is a healthy mind.
What would be your dream job in the future?
A doctor.
What are your expectations from being an EYOA?
I would like to soak up as many experiences and memories as possible. I believe I can make friends for life as we, EYOAs, are a great team.
What does Olympism mean to you?
I think Olympism for me is about being true to myself, which means that everything I do is to become a better person and also to make other athletes feel good in my presence. It means giving 100% to achieve your goals, which doesn’t always mean winning, but doing the best at a certain moment.
