INTERVIEW

How old are you?
20.

What is your sport? Are you an amateur or professional?
Handball and I am an amateur.

What is your biggest sports achievement?
My team won the Danish youth championship twice.

What languages do you speak?
I am fluent in Danish and English, and I speak German and a little French as well.

What are your passions and hobbies?
If not handball and other sports, I would say coffee. I’m really interested in coffee and the process behind making it. I have my own coffee-truck where I sell coffee from.

What is your secret superpower (or one you would like to have)?
I wish I could read people’s minds!

What is your favourite dish from your country?
Boller i karry – a traditional Danish dish.

Who is the most inspiring athlete for you?
I have always been a fan of Mikkel Hansen. He is one of the most successful handball players in the world, but his attitude has always been humble.

The words I live by are… (motivational quote)
“If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else.”

What motivated you to apply for the EYOA programme?
I have always been very passionate about sport. I have played handball for several years and I have met so many of my best friends through the sport. Therefore, I really like the idea of building friendships off the field. Because to me, sport is much more than results.

What are your goals as an EYOA?
To give the athletes a memory for life.

What would be your dream job in the future?
I would like to be a teacher. I love both educating and learning.

What are your expectations of being an EYOA?
To meet some interesting people and learn new things about different sports.

What does Olympism mean to you?
Celebrating athletes both attending and winning medals in a respectful way.
