INTERVIEW

What is your biggest sports achievement?
Practising sport: Gold medal in the volleyball spanish championship with my university team. Working in sport: Professor in the faculty of Sport Sciences in UCAM university.

What are your passions and hobbies?
I love spending time in nature. I don´t care if it is in the mountains or by the seaside. I enjoy it the most when I go with friends. Sports, in general, is another of my passions (not surprisingly). I´m always down for any plans involving sports, especially if it´s playing volleyball. I also like traveling, but I can do it less frequently than I would like to.
What is your secret superpower (or one you would like to have)?
If I could choose a superpower, it would probably be teleportation. I think it´s super useful and connected to my hobbies.
What is your favourite dish from your country?
It´s hard to say, but some of my favourites are the different rice dishes that are made in Spain.
Who is the most inspiring athlete for you?
I have always admired the Gasol brothers, especially Pau, not only for his achievements in sport, but for all the good actions he has made in other fields.
The words I live by are…
Hard work pays off.
What motivated you to apply for the EYOA programme?
I have been involved in sport for as long as I can remember and it has brought me some of the best experiences in my life, so when I had the possibility to take part and contribute in an Educational Programme linked to the Olympic values I didn´t have any doubts, even for a second.
What are your goals as an EYOA?
To learn, share and help as much as I can in such an amazing environment as the EYOF.
What would be your dream job in the future?
I expect to help promote the values of Olympism through a variety of actions and activities together with the other ambassadors.
What are your expectations from being an EYOA?
I expect to help promote the values of Olympism through a variety of actions and activities together with the other ambassadors.
What does Olympism mean to you?
For me, Olympism is a fundamental movement in the transmission of good values in sport, but not only in sport, also in all other aspects of life.
Which Olympic Values is the most important for you and why?
All of them are very important and they are all connected to each other, but if I only can choose one, it has to be Respect. It is an Olympic Value that can be found not only in sport but also in other many situations in life.
