The 1993 edition of the European Youth Summer Olympic Days, held in Valkenswaard, Netherlands, from 3–9 July, marked the second iteration of this event. It brought together around 1,800 young athletes from 43 European nations to compete in 10 different sports, including athletics, football, gymnastics, and swimming. Valkenswaard 1993 also saw the inclusion of key sports like cycling, further diversifying the competition’s programme. The event helped solidify the EYOF’s reputation as a training ground for Europe’s next generation of elite athletes.
